February!!!
The highlight of February is always Logan's birthday. And this year he turned 5! My baby is now 5! That just seems SO old! He'd been looking forward to turning 5 for quite some time.

Emi and I went to Logan's school and read some silly books to him and his friends. The books were a hit and we had a fun 'celebration'. After books we had cupcakes...can't go wrong there...and after cupcakes, the kids enjoyed a freeze dance party - so fun!!!! Logan got to wear a crown all day long in honor of his special day.

I put together a pirate themed birthday party for Logan and some of his friends. I got hats for all of the kids and made eye masks for them all, as well. Lots of pirate decor, gold coins, a treasure hunt for jewels and loot...and balloon swords (thank you youtube!!!). It was a total hit!

Logan started a learn-to-skate program at our local hockey rink. Since Dan plays hockey, Logan has always wanted to play hockey 'like Daddy'. Now is his chance! We got him hockey skates, a helmet, and showed him the ice...he loves it! And he is doing a great job. He can go pretty fast when he's holding onto the buckets...he's still learning how to skate without. Pretty soon he may very well be playing hockey 'with Daddy'!!!
