October...a little late...
Well, here's what we did in October...a little late, but better late than never, right!?!?!

We went apple picking again! And again, ate each and every apple we picked...gotta love fresh picked apples!

We went to the Bronx Zoo! Since it was October, the kids were able to wear their Halloween Costumes in. Emi kept hers on the whole time, but Logan took his off a few minutes after we got into the zoo. The kids loved seeing all of the animals and we also got to visit the Butterfly Garden, ride on the Carousel and see all of the Lego animals that were on display.

We hosted a cupcake decorating party a few weeks before halloween, as a something-fun-to-do before Halloween...I ordered all nut-free candies and the kids had a ball!

Emi realized she LOVES ponchos..we already knew she loved to run around outside and be silly. :)

We went to Sunnyside Gardens to see the pumpkin displays and also to enjoy yet another fall activity. Logan loved pulling Emi around in a wagon, and Emi loved being pulled! We enjoyed a corn stalk maze, lots of pumpkins and hay-telling 'stories', train rides, a Butterfly Garden and more.

We 'dissected' and decorated our jack-o-lanters. Logan, as usual, had a ball touching the 'guts', while Emi opted to sit back and watch. She probably thought we were all nuts. :) But she did pose next to the final products.

The kids loved trick-or-treating. Of course...as a kid, whats NOT to love! Whenever I turned around, Emi was eating another piece of chocolate. Silly goose. Logan was more into the 'collecting', which is good since I had to confiscate so many pieces due to nut-contamination issues. But I had backup for him!

The kids LOVE the fall and would spend ALL day outside if they could. So, when we were able, thats exactly what we did! We all enjoyed raking (and jumping) in the leaves, as well as kicking the ball around, running around, etc etc.
