And September...

Wow, we sure did a LOT of fun things in September! Look at the pictures!

Logan started a new school. Here he is all decked out in his new uniform. With his new backpack. AND new lunch bag. Pretty handsome kid if I do say so myself!

In September, for Labor Day, we went up to 'kidfest'...its basically a few of my high school friends and all of our kids. This year we had 6 adults and 9 kids. Its always a LOT of fun! Logan gets to try holding and running with sparklers for the first time ever, during a cookout.

We visited a pretty cool farm where we got to see lots of animals (especially lots of cows!). If you look at the first picture closely, it looks as if the little calf either really likes Emi's shoes...or the calf wants to taste them! :)

Every year we make ice cream...the old fashioned way. Everyone takes turns with the mixing...and then we get to taste. This year we made mint chocolate chip. YUMMY!

Finally - sample time!

Goodbye friends and Kidfest. Til next year!

We went up to Schauber Stables as part of our local Farm Fest. Logan got to ride a horse. Emi stayed far away.

We also got to see and pet many horses...feed some...and check out some other animals.

And they had some fun things to play with, as well. I had to go down the bouncy slide...SEVERAL times...it was just WAY too fun to pass up. And if you notice Logan sticking to the side of the other bouncy 'thing', its because he was! He had a velcro outfit on and Dan was sticking him up on the side. :)

These days the kids LOVE movie days when they can share popcorn and watch a movie together.

We went to camp to 'close' it up for the season. Emi got into the chocolate bars BEFORE s'more time...and the next am she enjoyed 'fishing'. Big brother Logan gave her some tips.

We went apple picking. A few times. This was the first time.

I don't think there are many shots where the kids are not eating apples...they did pick some for their bags too!

We took the trek up (at 5am) to Queensbury to check out the Adirondack Balloon Festival. It sure was bright and early...but it was SO worth it...to get there at dark when they are just bringing out the balloons...

Watching them get blown up...and then test the air...

Checking out the different balloons and running around...

And getting to see SO many balloons blown up at once. Unfortunately it was too foggy to actually send them off, but we still got to see them blown up and it was certainly a 'must see'. I think we'll be making the trek another year...that is to actually see them off!
