Emi is one!
Since Emi turned 1 year this month, this post is all hers. Its hard to believe our little girl is already 1...the last year FLEW by! She is such an amazing little girl with such a fun personality. She gives amazing hugs, she loves to play peek-a-boo, she makes funny faces, and she likes to pretend to cook...and take out all of our tupperware. :) She is such a joy to have around. And she is a great play mate to her big brother, Logan. She truly adores him and still lights up whenever she sees him or hears his voice.
She is about 19lbs and 31+ inches long...91st % for height and about the 20th for weight. Long and lean. She is walking and climbing over the place and while she doesn't say much (other than 'mama', 'dada', 'ni ni', 'dis', 'dat'...) she understands us, and will do what we say.
On her birthday, she dressed up in her 'I'm 1' shirt and got to eat cupcakes (banana muffins with cool whip!). I brought in a bunch to her school and we sang to her there. And then, at night, we sang to her again...and had seconds on the cupcakes! Yum! Such a treat!
Then the following day, we threw her a butterfly themed 1st birthday party, and invited some friends and family. There was a lot of food, a huge fruit arrangement, an enormous cake and more...all home made. Emi got to try some chocolate cake with real frosting, and after she poked and sniffed and looked at it, and eventually tasted it, boy did she like it!
Hmmm...what is this thing they call a cupcake...
Someone definitely enjoys her sweets!!!
Emi wore a dress that a good friend of mine made! Since it was a butterfly themed party, her dress was PERFECT!
The gargantuan cake...yum...1/2 vanilla with strawberry filling, 1/2 chocolate with chocolate ganache filling...and a chocolate butterfly.
A little someone LOVED her cake...and when she realized she was finished with her piece, tossed her plate and demanded some more!!! :)
