Our Life

February has been chilly though we've had a warm'ish day, here and there. Logan, Emi and I surprised Dan and shoveled the slush off of the driveway during the last warm day. Of course, the following morning, it snowed... it was so nice to be able to be outside again! We are looking forward to warmer weather, but are still making the most of the winter days we have left.


Emi and Logan love to share snacks. Once upon a time, Logan had his own snacks, and Emi had her own snacks. But now they can share most of their snacks and its so cute to watch them eat and giggle.

Logan turned 4 this month and had a fun, superhero themed birthday party, complete with superhero decorations, superhero cupcakes, superhero games and complete superhero costumes!


The kids loved their customized capes (they customized their superhero insignia's themselves) and ran around the house, playing 'superhero'.


Logan's big present for turning 4 was a cool 2 wheeler bike with training wheels. Good bye tricycle, hello big boy bike! Since its still too cold (and messy) to ride outside, he's been taking advantage of riding in the house... (eeek!)


Valentine's Day was pretty chill this year. Logan had a party at school and had to wear red, and Emi wore a little outfit that her great Aunt Sue gave to her, before she was even born!


The kids love to play with each other, which I just LOVE. Its so fun to watch them acting silly and laughing. Here they've both climbed into a mega blocks bin and are acting like typical goofballs.

The BIGGEST news is that Emi is now walking! 11 months old and walking ALL over the place. She's got great balance and loves to walk around with toys in her mouth...she's definitely a Merkt! Enjoy the video:



Thats about it for now! Emi turns 1 in a few weeks, so we're preparing for her birthday...that'll be the next update!
