June updates...in July!
Here we are in July! And it is HOT out, these days. We're enjoying the 'true summer' days, but also appreciating the air conditioned breaks! :) Our garden is coming along nicely - or at least there are things growing...as long as WE get to eat the veggies and the animals don't get them first, all will be well.
Logan put these sunglasses on Emi, and we just thought it was too cute...we had to take a pic.
We went to Indian Ladder Farms to see the animals and to pick cherries and strawberries. It was a FUN and sweet day!
Here we're working hard to pick a ton of cherries. YUMMY!
Daddy and Logan EAT what we've picked...and still save enough to bring some home!
Logan shows off the strawberries that he's picked. There weren't so many strawberries, but what WAS there, sure was SWEET and delish!
Logan 'surfs', out in the water. What fun!
And he also enjoys playing on the beach, at camp. He's making sandy chocolate chip cookies!
Captain Logan tries to take the boat out...luckily Uncle Brian REALLY knows how to take the boat out and Logan enjoyed a ride with his cousins. Later, Emi went out, too...but she was not a fan, since her life vest is pretty constrictive.
After playing in the water, Logan and Daddy dry off, and sit inside of the giant inner tube that Daddy played with, as a kid!
On July 4th, we dress in our RED, WHITE and BLUE and get ready to watch the parade! Emi pretty much sucked on her fingers the entire time, but Logan enjoyed seeing the emergency vehicles and the marching bands.
After the parade, we gave Emi a taste of what it is like on the beach at camp. She loved feeling the sand in between her toes. But she was NOT a fan of the COLD water!
Logan goes fishing on the last day of our vacation. He came close to catching some small fish.
We picnicked over at Colgate University, where we had a nice view of some of the different bridges. HEAVEN, for Mommy, who LOVES bridges!
We saw ducks, swans, bridges...
Emi is now just about 4 months old and has started to sit in her exersaucer. She is a riot, in it! She gets so excited when she turns the music on, all by herself!
Emi had her 4 month pediatrician check-up yesterday and is growing nicely. She is 13lbs 6oz and 25.5" long. She was all smiles during her visit...that is, until the shots came out. But she did put her smile back on, after being comforted by Mommy.
