December updates

Happy New Year everyone! Logan did NOT stay up to watch the ball drop last night, but Mommy and Daddy did go in to give him kisses afterward, as he slept. We hope 2009is a good year for all of our loved ones.

Here are a few of our pictures from the month of December. Logan is talking more and more and starting to piece more words together in sentences. He loves to 'help' and whenever he sees our broom or swiffer come out, he wants to do it. It takes much longer but I guess if it contributes to a good work ethic, its ok...He also loves to copy you (we all need to watch ourselves here!). I can't tell you how many times I've looked over to see him staring at me, attempting to do what I am doing. Its really funny and cute.

Enjoy the pictures!

One of Logan's favorite things to do these days is to put on Mommy or Daddy's shoes and parade around the house in them. Here he is in Daddy's boots.

We went to a local tree farm to pick out and cut down our Christmas tree. We do this every year. This year, Logan was a big help in picking out the right tree.

Here we are in front of the tree we chose

Logan helps Daddy cut the tree. What a big help

And once we got home (after letting the tree settle for a big part of the weekend), he was a big help in decorating the tree

Logan was VERY hesitant to see Santa on his own so Mommy came with him. After he got a present, he gave Santa a high five!

Logan shows off our finished tree, on Christmas Eve

And here he is with his Christmas Eve present.

Christmas morning...opening stockings...

And his big gift. What fun!

Here are the cousins on Christmas Day. Because his younger cousins had their 'lovies' with them for the picture, Logan decided to pick up a monkey and be like them.

Christmas was fun and very different with Logan this year. Last year he was only interested in the wrapping paper and boxes. This year he was all about what was inside. Of course we tried our best to show him that Christmas is NOT all about the presents. We went to our Christmas Eve service at church, visited family, played games as a family, drove around to look at Christmas lights and donated items we no longer used. We hope everyone had a nice Christmas season this year.
