A trip to the Cape
We hope everyone had a nice 4th of July! We went away to Cape Cod for a family vacation and enjoyed relaxing, playing at the beach, and each other's company. Here are some of the highlights of our trip (beware there are many pictures!):
Here's the little cottage we called 'home' for the past week.
In the beginning of our trip we were able to hang out with friends Joe and Kristie and try lobster salad.
Logan enjoys starbucks (don't worry - its decaf since Mommy doesn't need caffeine!).
We met up with friends Maritza, Michael and Ava and played on the Airplane and Helicopter at the Coast Guard base. What fun that was!
On our way to the beach, Logan enjoys watching the animals that scurry across the path. Here, Logan creeps up to a bunny.
Once at the beach Logan enjoys watching the water.
He also tries out a boogie board for size. Now thats fun! And of course, you can't blame a kid for trying, he tries to take boat out for spin, but its too heavy for him to drag to the water.
Logan enjoys playing in sand (he even tasted some!) and smashing Daddy's sand castles.
One day, Logan got to play 'kick the beach ball' with friends Aidan and Liam. After we got to eat yummy ice cream at Emack and Bolios. Yum!
Logan was scared of the water for a good part of the trip. He enjoyed watching it but when we went too close and he saw the waves, he'd want to be held. As the week wore on, he became more and more daring. Here, he plays with seaweed. He's getting closer to the water!
Then, Logan surprised us, the day before we left, and went right INTO the water. He was so curious and his curiosity got him pretty soaked! He loved it!
After lots of running around and playing at the beach, Logan enjoys a nap where its cool (by the fan!)
We enjoyed playing at the Cape Cod children's museum - there was so much to see and do!
We took a trip to see the Nobska lighthouse. Logan slept the entire way there and woke up once we arrived at the lighthouse. Good timing!
Uncle Noah and Jill came to visit us one day and we had so much fun seeing them!
On our way back home from our fun vacation we stopped off in Boston and went to the Boston Aquarium. Logan loved seeing all of the big fish and especially loved pointing to the penguins.
Before heading home we stopped off to see friend Grace who loved playing with Logan.
And you can't go into Boston without picking up some Red Sox goodies for Logan. Here he shows off his hat, once back at home.
